Rivanna Gear & Apparel (RGA) is not your typical sporting goods store. We pride ourselves in being different – personalized service, high quality/cost effective products, and a high level of staff participation in local youth and high school sports.

Our primary mission is to get quality goods to you, our customer, on time….your time, not ours!

We are a full line sporting goods supplier providing everything from socks to scoreboards. However, the heart of our business is youth sports. The driving force behind all of our special services is “It’s all about the kids.”

There are thousands of people in our community who make youth sports a reality – parents, coaches, officials, league administrators, and volunteers of all types. For these dedicated individuals, youth sports is a passion, not a profession. We understand that and have built our business to support the special needs of these dedicated individuals.

The schedule for youth sports does not fit nicely into a standard 9 to 5, Monday to Friday time frame. RGA recognizes that your time is precious, so we operate on your schedule. Our goal is to be where you need us, when you need us.

• · Our Account Coordinators will work with coaches, players, and parent groups on the field/court at your practices or games.
• · We will create personalized product packages for any team or league - taking the ordering, delivery and funds management off your coaches’ shoulders
• · Our On-Line Web Store offers 24 X 7 availability to an extensive selection of products
• · We will create a Personalized Web Store just for your team or league
• · Early morning store hours on weekends for those last minute needs
• · Our sales staff will open the store on “Off Hours” should you need anything special
• · RGA’s facilities are available for league or team meetings and registrations.

Our staff is highly involved in local youth sports. Most of our staff members volunteer as coaches, officials, and league administrators; as well as being parents of our own youth athletes. We have walked in your shoes. Our own experiences have shaped our services and policies. Our goal is to help your teams and leagues run efficiently, provide the best gear and apparel for your teams, and give you the time to focus on your athletes – remember “It’s all about the kids.”

Our products: We have top quality products available from over 200 manufacturers. You will not find the same selection of products at RGA that you will at most other sporting goods retailers. We concentrate our extensive inventory in three (3) very specific areas:

• · We work closely with local coaches to make sure that we have the specific gear that they want for their teams. This way you get what you want or need without having to run around to various places just to find that special item. In addition to the most popular sports, we specialize in many of the sports normally overlooked by larger retail stores – wrestling, volleyball, softball, cheerleading, ice hockey, swimming, field hockey, and water aerobics.
• · We work with our vendors to bring you the latest technology available. Whether it is the hottest new bats, the latest in protective gear, or that special training aide, we strive to have that special item you have been looking for. If you ever need anything and don’t see it, just ask. We are always happy to special order an item or add it to our standard offering.
• · Price and Quality – As everyone knows, youth sports are expensive. When you invest in equipment, you want premium products at a fair price and the personalized service that goes with them.

At RGA, we carry a wide variety of top shelf, name-brand products. However, we also go the extra mile to seek out those products where we can bring you extra value. Many name-brand products are produced by contract manufacturers – many of whom offer the same product except with a different logo or label. Where we can, we offer the option of these products and pass along the savings directly to you.
